Tara Kaczoroski

Miss Super Thrifty

Hi, my name is Tara Kaczoroski. I am 22 years old.

I have been a dental assistant in The Pas and OCN  for about 4 years and am a KCC graduate.

I am currently taking my Bachelor of Nursing through UCN. When I'm not busy with school work I like to go fishing, practice my cooking skills, go for walks and I love watching movies.

I was born and raised here in The Pas and am honored and privileged to represent our community as well as my sponsor Super Thrifty by running in the Trappers Festival Fur Queen competition. I feel we all need to give back and volunteer however we can to keep these traditions alive in our community.

I also want to take this opportunity to encourage the young women of the community to run in the competition in years to come. This is your community, take part, have fun, and keep these traditions going. I couldn't imagine this town without the festival and we need the support, courage and hard work of the people in the community to make this all possible.

Good luck to my fellow contestants. I know we are all enthusiastic. I look forward to seeing the community support and have everyone out for Trappers'.

Jennifer Tooley

Miss Royal Canadian Legion Branch #19

My name is Jennifer Tooley, and I am very proud to be a contestant in the 2008 Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival Fur Queen Contest.  I am 18 years old and was born and raised in The Pas, MB. I graduated from M.B.C.I. in June of 2007.  In 1999 I was crowned “Little Miss Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival”.  Being a part of Trappers’ Festival that year left a huge impression on me and I have dreamed of running for Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival Fur Queen ever since. After my graduation in June, I decided to take a year off from furthering my education, to fulfill my dream of running for Fur Queen. I am currently employed by The Royal Canadian Legion as a bartender and waitress and am honored to have them as my sponsor. It is my pleasure to be able to represent this worthy organization during this 2008 Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival. I wish to thank everyone for making this experience possible for me and also want to wish the “Best of Luck” to my fellow contestants. Hope to see you all out during the 2008 Trappers’ Festival!
